Creating a Package Program
- Start CamLynx
- Double-Click on CamLynx icon on desktop or Go to > Start > Programs > PhotoLynx > CamLynx > CamLynx
- Press [F8] or go to Data > Select Packages
- If the “No Program Loaded” window is displayed, load the default RipLynx!Test.prm file.
- Go to > File > Configure Packages
- Enter password (default is CamLynx), Click [Ok]
- Go to step 4
- Adding Program Details
- Type in the Business Name
- Type in a Description for the Program. E.g. “Underclass Spring”
- Enter Tax Rate (Optional, this will be used in future releases)
- Check box next to Tax Included to include taxes for reports (Optional, this will be used in future releases)
- Adding a Package to the Program
- Click [Add]
- Type a Description for the Package Name. E.g. “A Package”
- Enter a Title for the Package (this is a short description for School Pictures Software). E.g. “a-pak”
- Enter a Map # for the Package (this two digit, alpha-numeric number is used to uniquely identify the Package in the Program). E.g. “PA”
- Enter a Price for the Package (Optional, this will be used in School Pictures Software and in future releases). E.g. “19.00”
- Enter the approximate Cost for the Package (Optional, this is the cost to produce the package and will be used in future releases). E.g. “5.00”
- Check box next to Taxed to indicate this is a taxed item (Optional, this will be used in future releases).
- Adding Unit(s) to the Package
- Click [Add Unit]
- Click on desired Unit. The layout window displays a preview of the Unit.
- If the Unit you desire is not in the list, check with the lab that will be printing your packages to ensure it is a unit they will print. If so, ask them to send you the RipLynx Units.pud that they have added the unit into.
- Click [Ok] to accept Unit
- To Increase the quantity of the Unit, Click on the selected Unit (the Qty column will display the increase)
- To Decrease the quantity of the Unit, Right-Click on the selected Unit (the Qty column will display the decrease)
- Repeat steps 4 through 5 to complete the Program contents.
- Click [Save] to save the new Program
- Type a Filename for the new Program. E.g. “Underclass Spring” (no extension is necessary)
- Go to File > Exit
